The Women’s Advocacy and Resilience Network (WARN) is a community-based organization founded in 2014 by dedicated professionals committed to social justice. We are strategically based in Mandera County, North Eastern Kenya, focusing on serving vulnerable pastoralist communities. As a signatory to the International Federation of the Red Cross/Crescent Code of Conduct, we adhere to strict global humanitarian principles. WARN is currently led by our Director, Yusra Ali.
The Women’s Advocacy and Resilience Network (WARN) was founded in 2014 by a group of dedicated professionals with a shared vision for community empowerment. Legally registered and based in Mandera County, North Eastern Kenya, WARN was established specifically to address the complex challenges faced by vulnerable pastoral communities in this arid region. From its inception, the organization has been committed to upholding the highest standards of humanitarian work, operating as a proud signatory to the International Federation of the Red Cross/Crescent Code of Conduct, which guides all our interventions in peace building, food security, and human rights advocacy.

This is the overarching group the mission is focused on supporting in Mandera County, Kenya.This is the organization’s primary target demographic, especially for programs in Protection, Health, and Nutrition.
